Meet the Teacher - using wiki - homework assignments, lesson summaries for the week, e mail address is there, classroom projects, kids using & designing the wiki, (check changes from time to time), still uses the blog for commentary, / discussion.

Using wiki as communication tool, in French & English

tried powerpoint, each kid did a page, this year - they showed their presentations.  Dinosaur presentations - photostory - followed a format and read their report, did a sculpture of dinosaur, etc.   Used a photostory to promote the daycare and put it on the school wiki.

Uses the digital camera and takes pictures of kids - I like, I don't like (food), Essential Skills software, website to practice Math, tux paint - patterning, basic word processing, using clip art and word art (When I was a baby), My Community - pictures, recorded info and made it into a podcast.

Used photostory, but the computers at school not compatable, Social Studies - uses web sites, and has them posted on the wiki,

Gr. 4 - 6s did a ppt. on flight, they did research.  3 & 4 use word processing.  Computers getting networked.

Researched 'bats', mapped, cross-graded with gr. 9s to teach them powerpoint,  United Streaming videos,  work on Math - AAA, SAG interactive sites, typing, word, clip art,

books using ppt.

school wiki - redone as the school web  page, grouped teachers - wiki group / United Streaming.  Using Staff to teach one another. 

School wiki - grade / classroom page, photostory, wants to upload, but picture concerns need to be deleted, kids drew pictures & illustrated, sang O Canada.  Reading buddies, will work with their buddy to create a photostory.   Remembrance Day - every town's War Memorial - made a word document. 

Investigating word, power point - will crossgrade with Gr. 5 to do research, etc.  Patterning, Christmas Colouring book with tux paint, photostory gr. one, using the digital camera, wants to e mail / pen pals, Essential Skill - Math programs,

exploring more & helping kids more - time is a factor, double periods work better, using it professionally with committee she's on

using YOU tube,

hasn't been able to incorporate wiki into his teaching, new program called - Math Street, using powerpoint & SMART Bd. research, word, excel,

tech program taught through ITV at the Hutterite schools, started to do more - the kids are taking initiative, using the digital camera - using power pont - potential for Photo Story.  Not sure how to incorporate wiki yet.

Sticking Points

putting in the URL, the main page wouldn't open up, kids had trouble getting the web page

hardware issues at school - old stuff, can't use the programs that she'd like.  Lab has some improvements, but needs more.
