Successes and Sticking Points

Successes

Wikis are more user friendly

Created a wiki for our school

Created a wiki for the national ORFF conference in

2010

We're eliminating a lot of paper by putting the info

for your class on the wiki

Created 6-7 wikis for different reasons

"St. Laurent wiki is awesome"

New editor makes things much easier and user friendly

Reviewing for exams last term was awesome, kids could

follow along without taking notes, etc.

Sub planning is a lot easier - leave the info on the wiki,

can book the projector for the room that makes this easier

Sticking Points

Access for students and parents

Hard to get people to update their pages on the wiki

Teacher trepidation - time, hardware, insecurity, knots

in our stomachs, confidence
